Spent a few hours of quality time checking out guitars, chatting and enjoying coffee at my fav guitar store. Prices of new guitars being what they are and generally preferring instruments that are already broken in, I spent time getting to know some wonderful guitars with experience. Kept coming...
I am the owner of thirteen PRS guitars at the moment, having more than sixty guitars which I use in the studio, live concerts and lessons. Among them there are some fine Gibson Les Pauls and archtops, some Heritage (mostly archtops) few Fender tele and strats, Eastmans, Gretsches, D' Angelico's...
Hello all!
I had a 1997 CE24 with the wide/thin neck and while I loved everything about the guitar, the neck always made my fretting hand cramp after a short while so I sold it. This was with classical hand positions, thumb over, soft touch, didn’t matter. I don’t squeeze the neck or fret...
After spending sometime playing my core custom 22, I found its neck profile (wide fat) to be the best for my hands and needs. Having also a S2 Custom 22 with a pattern regular neck, which is a bit thiner than the core model but round and big enough for my liking, I decided to pull the trigger...
Hi guys. So i’m thinking about to get me a PRS with a wide thin neck. Right now I’m playin on a Gibson with a asymmetrical slim taper neck. My question is how much thiner is the wide thin neck then the slim taper? I can’t test it at my local music store because they don’t have any PRS.

Is it possible my neck was a wide thin from the factory? Maybe a happy accident? It feels...

I have a 2018 SE Chris Robertson. It's a great guitar, in fact one of the best sounding electrics that I have. The color is perfect. It is sort of heavy, but that does not bother me. What does bother me is the neck. It has the chunkiest wide-fat neck I have ever played.....it is baseball bat...
Looking to tap your collective wisdom about the impact of neck profile for a beginner.
I'm a total beginner to guitar, starting at age 39. (I tell my wife, there are worse mid-life crises.) I've been goofing around with my kid's 3/4 scale Squier for a few months now. After a lot of reading...
Hi,
There is information scattered all over the place but I haven't found a list that shows which models feature wide thin necks. I ask because when you look at reverb/ebay listings they often omit that info.
I played a core at GC the other day and noticed the neck was quite different than...
