soundhole cover feedback

My Angelus 60E howls when amplified, so I ordered the D'Addario Screeching Halt sound hole cover. Dimensions were supposed to let it fit, but no luck. Plus it bumped into the Fishman controls inside just a bit. What do you guys and gals use, if at all? Thanks! Chris
