sanding

Hi folks, I was wondering if someone could tell me how their sanding process has gone. I assume that there's a very thin layer of nitro on these Custom necks and a poly layer underneath it, but I'm not quite so sure given that from what I understand there's a Cellulose Acetate Butyrate...
