I had an HX effects and I currently also have a HX Pod Go.
They do a lot and are a great value.
I would rather have just my Strymon Timeline through the right amp for a big gig than the rest. That is more of a tone conversation though.
As far as things breaking down I would not worry about...
There are advantages and disadvantages of both 22 and 24. I am in the 24 camp.
Why: Its not that I use #23 and 24 much at all but it allows ease of access to the high frets without changing how I hold my fretting hand. I can play in high A for example easily which is great for many songs...

All states are full of people of many traits. Just because a state gets a certain slant on tv doesn't mean there aren't other types and regions there that you would bond with.
