I have been playing for over 30 years. Man, times go by fast. I have practice just about everyday possible. I've played some great gigs. I've played professionally for years, given lessons and played in the UF Jazz band. I've done rock, jazz and country studio sessions. I have a boat load of...
A few months back I finished a book called Looking Forward to Monday - How You Can Rise Above Bad Bosses and Toxic Companies and Love Your Job. It's a book targeted to younger people just joining the workforce out of school to help them be as successful as possible. I know it's not strictly a...
I have 2 hooks on the wall and a nice h&k zentera amp. I almost never plug in but I do grab a guitar for a few minutes each day. It's a big stress reliever for me just to see guitars near by. At least 2 or 3 days a week ill bring a guitar in with my gig bag and have ready just in case. I know my...
It's true, once you play a collection guitar it kind of reduces or eliminates your PRS GAS. These guitars are so different and great that nothing seems to compare. When I was at the 2013 PRS Experience I mentioned this to a couple guys that work in the final assembly area. They both agreed that...
I went looking to get a nice PRS gig bag from the online shop and noticed it's gone. What's up with that? I hope it's just that they are switching to a better made one. I need one of these.
I think the bottom line is that the 408 pickups might be one if the best sounding ever. There is just so much you can do with this guitar. I predict that Paul's guitar with a trem will also become a huge hit in the future. In the bridge position both the narrow 408 and the wider one sound...
I need some advice from you folks that have a few guitars. I have a few guitars which are properly stored in a air conditioned more or less humidity controlled environment. The problem is that my "collection" has grown over the many years that I have playing and I wonder if I should be leaving...
Dear Gush,
Your story hits home with me. I wrote a book that may help you. Go to www.lookingforwardtomonday.org and download my book for free. My book is all about the courage needed to do what you did and more importantly how to succeed at your new job.
Hopefully now you will have time...
I would recommend the sig limited. This is a great guitar with lots of versatility. The slightly thicker body gives it a little more bottom end. Also, the color is nice. I would sell some other stuff and get all 3 of them. That is really the best option.
That's a great point. If he had a guitar in space and strummed a chord it should sustain way longer than on earth. Right?
I guess there is still air friction, I wonder what effect no gravity has on string vibration. I'm going to have to check on that.....
Ok, after a little research I...
I have been playing for close to 30 years and about 2.5 years ago I picked my first PRS. I was impressed and after thinking about for a few days I went back and bought that guitar. Since then I have bought a lot more PRS's and they all get played a lot. I have been thinking about it and here is...
This is so cool. He has the ultimate mike stand...just let go of the mike and it sits there. I met an astronaut once and he told me that one of the strangest things about going into space was that when he returned to Earth he would put things out in front of him and they would fall to the...
