The 5-way Rotary Switch ?

I'm a newbie here, so please cut me some slack in case I've missed something... I absolutely understand how it works... and I also absolutely understand why I bought my first PRS... but what I still struggle with, is why - with all of Paul's attention to detail in terms of setup and playability...

    Introduce yourself!

I'm with you. McCarty-switching is the way to go... I've loved PRS's for some time, but I could never get my head around the rotary-dial labelled from 1 to 10... I've had my 1991 24-Custom re-wired with McCarty-switching and my favourite guitar makes sense now.

    Introduce yourself!

Hi, I live in the UK and have a small collection of guitars, the most important of which are my two PRS's... a 2005 Private-Stock McCarty-22 and a 1991 Custom-24 'Goldtop' (I've since gone to push-pull McCarty-switching on the 'Goldtop'): [/IMG] [/IMG]

    To trem or to tremel-no

I'd thank your lucky stars that you have a lovely daughter who is spongeing up music, and just go with the flow. I'd take the PRS 'Birds' metaphor and let her fly... whether that's towards a trem or not, or even - heaven-forbid - towards a Strat. You've done your bit in getting her...

    Private Stock Friday

I must lead a sad life. My wife went to bed last night and I spent my time looking at this #GuitarPorn picture, wondering what she'd look like from the front, semi-clothed. :( This guitar, not my wife...

    My New (Used) PRS Opinions?

Lovely guitar. I'm not sure what's going on in terms of PRS second-hand values at the moment. In the UK the bottom seems to have dropped out of the used PRS market and there are incredible deals to be had... albeit on a rather more limited pool of guitars. Over here you would struggle to sell...

Your guitar has to be amongst the most beautiful guitars ever made. I own a PRS Private-Stock guitar from 2008 which is wonderful, but 'Fractis Alis Angeli' is beyond anything that I've ever seen. I hope that you live up to it's name. Best wishes, Peter
