    PRS Archive Guitars

[Moderator Edit] What part of "Send it to me at PRS Customer Service" was confusing? {Reply to moderator} 1. No need to be a smart ass about it. You want someone else to obey rules but it's okay for you to be rude? 2. There is a dealer that is regularly lying to customers and committing...

    PRS Archive Guitars

That's because Jesse had Facebook remove it. The admins said they didn't do it.

I did. Thanks. I've been kind of busy so I haven't posted about it yet but I might in the next couple days.

So how do I go about spreading the word about this dirtbag deasler? LOL ...So someone in PRS sees it and takes some action.

    PRS Archive Guitars

I'm not sure who to contact at PRS that works in approving stores to be authorized dealers. A few of us on the PRS GOW Facebook group have encountered a snake of a dealer who is a bold faced liar and has been caught lying to potential buyers. This is a link to the group post on this topic but...

    PRS 408 vs 408 Semi-hollow Comparison

Well, being as I already have a CU24 semi-hollow, I was kinda thinking that I might be happy adding a 408 solid body instead of selling my semi-hollow to offset the higher cost of the 408 semi-hollow. (Btw, All three guitars look much better in person. The pic actually makes them look bad.)

    PRS 408 vs 408 Semi-hollow Comparison

Thanks for your thoughts. That's kind of what I'm thinking but I'd like to hear from someone who has played both in the 408 line. My question: Is it worth the extra couple thousand since I have to buy the semi-hollow new but can find solid bodies used? Some differences on guitars are...

    PRS 408 vs 408 Semi-hollow Comparison

Yeah, both definitely sound good. I kinda like the Maple top a bit more but I'd be happy with either one. Lol Also, I liked that you named your guitar.

    PRS 408 vs 408 Semi-hollow Comparison

BTW, here are the guitars I compared to it. (Mostly tonal comparisons) They all play great. I was considering selling one of them to get the 408 but I hate to part with any of them. 2012 P22 Faded Blue Burst, Pattern Regular Neck, HFS/VB pickups, 10 top 2016 Hollowbody II, Pattern Neck, Black...

    PRS 408 vs 408 Semi-hollow Comparison

I recently played a PRS 408 Semi-Hollow w/Rosewood Neck Wood Library guitar but I had to drive 3 hours to get there. I won't mention the dealer but they are sweet people. Lol I did meet several 408 owners and it seems that anyone who owns one of these is in love with it. Anyway, I took some...

PRS Semi-Hollow vs Hollowbody ii (Core Guitars)

Well, Now I'm not so sure. I was playing it today and comparing it to some of my others. Going to the 408 Semi-hollow means going to 22 frets and no longer having a 24 at all. Although I can't recall the last time I needed that 24th fret. Lol I was thinking that maybe I should wait until...

PRS Semi-Hollow vs Hollowbody ii (Core Guitars)

Okay, I guess it's time for that very delayed report. Health wise I've had several hospital visits since early March when I had a stent placed. Outside of chronic chest pain that have yet to be explained my heart is in good health. Pain could be from left bundle branch block which is not...

PRS Semi-Hollow vs Hollowbody ii (Core Guitars)

Report is coming soon. Sorry for delay. I had 2 heart attacks within 3 days about 5 weeks ago and had a stent put in. I've been dealing with all the doctor follow up ever since. Lol.

PRS Semi-Hollow vs Hollowbody ii (Core Guitars)

Check your pickup height. I have a 20th anniversary HB1 and it sounds good with nice round tones. The archtop pickups are better than I thought they would be. Pickup height can really change the way they sound. Btw, I'm assuming you're using 11 gauge strings on it which is important for the...

    pickup height question

I have been reading that the 58/15's are much more sensitive to height than some of the others. I have found them to be a bit bright but also noticed they were very high. I liked their sound better once I lowered them a bit.

    Quilted Maple Top Worship!

I think All these gorgeous guitars qualify as guitar porn. (Not talking about my guitars) I might post some picks of my PRS's but none of them have quilts this extreme. This Violet Purple Burst is probably the nicest one I have but my others are flame tops. This one is Faded Blue Burst and...

PRS Semi-Hollow vs Hollowbody ii (Core Guitars)

Thanks for taking the time to talk with me body styles etc. For an update: I ended up going with an existing brand new semi-hollow instead of a HBii. It's a Custom 24 tremolo with 58/15 and like the HBii is also an artist package, with rosewood neck, hybrid hardware and abalone birds. It's...
