    We played out......

It is the kind of story you hear about happening with OTHER bands, but don't expect it to creep into your own world.

    We played out......

Well....LOOONNNGGGGGG story here. We have most of the "raw" stems done. A couple of more vocal things she wants to do. And she brought in a session guy to do keyboards because it was feeling a bit "string heavy" for an album. But, she is having issues getting along with the way the producer is...

    We played out......

We played out tonight. My brother popped in and checked out a good half of the set. Got a decent video clip. It is rather "rhythm guy" centric because, well, he IS my brother. And the flipping of the cell phone from landscape to portrait was a little disconcerting, but I think the clip turned...

    Considering a 22 Fret...Used to a 24 Fret and I'm tall

One thing I have noticed, is that once a player really gets into the music, we ALL look like sh*t! Be it the silly contorted faces we make. The way we "think" we are swaying our bodies with the music. The odd stomp box stepping. . . .etc..... No matter how cool we "think" we look playing. We...

    It’s official…

Yep, seems like the older we get, the less opportunities there are out there. Not like being 19 and still living with mom, where the only real concerns are, who's house will the parents let you play loudest at, or won't complain about the smell of "smoke". Once life hits, if you are not actually...

    It’s official…

My "desire" comes in waves. Sometimes I am loving what I am doing. Sometimes I am just putting in work. The thing is, with a band that is at least semi-active, you still HAVE to put in work. So you stay reasonably sharp while waiting on that spark to come back. At least for me.

    Considering a 22 Fret...Used to a 24 Fret and I'm tall

LOL. The producer was complaining a couple of weeks back that the guy we brought in for keyboards was doing too much of that "diddly diddly" stuff. Perhaps that is the keyboard equivalent to "Weedily deedily" :D

My number one is a CU22....but I don't think I can help you as I am 5'5" tall

    Got my music room back!

Angela decided it was a bit too much "strings" sounding. So, she pulled in a session guy to lay keys on the songs. Was just in there on Friday tracking some piano and organ.

    Got my music room back!

As some of you may know, a bit less than two years ago, my dad was put on hospice for cancer. He, and my mom ended up coming to stay with me during that process. I had the "extra" room, which I was using as my music space, so I moved all of the stuff out of there so that he could have the space...

    Need a better guitar

My A40 E holds tune great. I can not pick it up for a month (I play mostly electric in my band) and often don't have to touch the tuning at all.

    Played out this weekend

Many songs are like that. If you play the song Zombie (Cranberries), you can sing I'm Never Going to Dance Again (George Michael). Farmhouse (Phish), is No Woman No Cry (Bob). In fact, I have seen Phish use their music to lead into other songs that are similar while seeing them live. There...

    Played out this weekend

There will be keys on the album. We had to hire a session guy to come in and fill in some space. He was on a Nord and a Wurlitzer on the couple of songs he was added to so far.

    a nice complimentary pair

Nope. The PRS is an SE and the vast majority of Washburns are made overseas. I just landed on the way these two play and sound. Definitely NOT private stock .... But she plays exactly how I need her to and has a sound that is bigger than the body size would lead you to believe. And the wood...

PRS and Washburn. They sound so different from each other. But they both sound great!

    Strumming the SE A40E

Got put on acoustic detail on one of the old Angela Everwood songs [from a previous album]. Little bit of noodling before work working on it.
