To me, the DGT is a completely different sort of guitar from the Pauls, 408, and MEV. To me, it feels and sounds more vintage Gibson (which, IIRC, the pickups were based on a set of his 335 pickups, but I could be wrong about that.) I don't think there's any going wrong with the others. (Well...

I like it a lot. I think I realized that you have to treat it more like a Strat than a humbucking guitar. Once I started thinking about it that way and found the sweet spot with my amps, it made a huge difference. I was on the fence about the ME-V vs 408, too...and a deal on the ME-V dropped...

Thanks! It's a custom build from Dan Lawrence's GMP guitars with the paint done by him. The Jackson PC1 Adrenalize next to it was part of a limited run he painted that I stumbled across at CMC. The art was the big thing (on the Destroyer-type shape)...but Dan found a great piece of swamp ash...

I have a vertical cab, so it's a little different, but I do the same thing under my 1x12 combo (which isn't pictured) -- a milk crate. I find that it raises them enough to hear a bit better, it's solid, and I can reach the controls easier.

It arrived. It's gorgeous. And I do not regret it one tiny bit. :) And she fits in with the rest of the family :)

So, basically, what you're both saying is that I should have NOT purchased my Paul's Guitar and just waited for an ME-V? Oy. I think I've had it about a month now. :(

The Soldano cabs are a nice, but I'm not a big V30 fan...and the Avatar cabs are half the price with Fane M65s. It was an easy decision. :) (The purple head was lucky...a trade for an EBMM Axis SS BFR, also, ironically, purple.)

I love my SuperSport. I've had an Axis, an Axis EX, and a couple of supersports and I love the feel of them all. The pickups are likely my favorite humbuckers around. I did determine that I'm just not a Floyd guy, no matter how many times I try, and got rid of my regular Axis and EX models. :)...

It's going to take a little tweaking. It's currently set for an Axis SuperSport and Luke III but initial tests have been very, very pleasing. The pickups in this guitar are an entirely different beast. I'm liking it.
