PRS guitar prices go up again.

Yep. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for someone to replace the money in my retirement account that inflation robbed from me.

Monteleone makes PRS PS look like bargains

The first one is very interesting, but the strings are a bit too high for my taste.

    PRS Angelus models

Beautiful guitar! I don't think you can go wrong with that one. I am mainly a Martin man when it comes to acoustics. I picked up my 74 D-35, new, at Chuck's, many moons ago. A year or so ago, I picked up a used D-18GE. But, I have a Taylor GAMC (mahogany/cedar) that is wonderful for...

Any Thoughts on the Martin Simpson model?

Thanks! I do some fingerstyle as well as flat picking. The Simpson model is listed as having a 1 13/16 nut. My guess is the extra 16th of an inch shouldn't be too much of an obstacle.

Any Thoughts on the Martin Simpson model?

I'm relatively new to wider nut acoustics. I've played a D-35 since I got it new in 74. I believe it has a 1 11/16 nut. When I picked up a D-18GE, the 1 3/4 nut was a bit of an adjustment. I figured we were only talking about 1/16th of an inch, so how different could that be?.. It...

Any Thoughts on the Martin Simpson model?

Wondering if anyone owns or has owned the Martin Simpson PS model. If so, what are your thoughts on the 1 7/8" nut and how does it feel switching from that to other, more standard sized guitar necks?

    Dreadnaught or 000?

The dread is a bit of a handfull, size wise. But, the D-18GE is a real nice guitar, none the less.

How much better is the Martin Simpson model than other PRSai?

Ha! Now that's funny! So Hans, what do you think of the Martin Simpson? Did you buy one?

How much better is the Martin Simpson model than other PRSai?

Can you remember if it was the sound or the looks of the Martin Simpson that put it down a notch?

    Dreadnaught or 000?

I've had and Indian Rosewood / Spruce D-35 since I bought it from Chucks in 74. About a year ago, I picked up a mahogany/Adirondack D-18GE and love it. I'm enjoying the sound of mahogany, more and more.

    Dreadnaught or 000?

Laszlo, where I come from that's showy.. Heck, I couldn't even afford your couch. :)
