Well damn.... how the heck did that happen...

Congrats! The SE 594 is indeed a killer guitar!

    Anybody ever tried this?

I reckon the magnets and coil are made to move relative to each other in a minuscule way when the pickups are vibrates by the guitar body. That induces the current and signal. What is amazing is how little energy it takes for that to happen and how faithful the replication of the vibrations...

    Let's talk veneer

I can see your point. I think SE 594’s would look cool with plain maple tops with a stain and burst. I suppose PRS is synonymous with the flame maple look, and there’s be an unmanageably large product line if every model had a plain maple top variant. I for one really love the look of my SE. I...

    Anybody ever tried this?

Cos silly as it is, therein lies a secret of the electric guitar I reckon. Plug your guitar in, dampen the strings completely with a cloth or pillow so they don’t vibrate at all. Cover the body near the pickups with a cloth. Turn the amp up really loud. Press your face into the guitar body...

NGD and Review: The Fabulous SE 594

Yup thanks! If my best sounding PRS or Gibson R9 were a 10, I’d rate this SE 594 at about an 8. I’m sure many people would be surprised to hear that.

NGD and Review: The Fabulous SE 594

First off allow me to describe my idiosyncratic way of appraising an electric guitar. I listen to its inherent tone. By that I simply mean how the strings vibrate on that particular guitar. So I play the guitar acoustically and listen to its tone. Not the sustain, but the actual quality and...

    New PRS SE 594 models

I was completely blown away when I recently tested out several SE 594’s. EVERY single one had that inherent fat woody resonant tone. I mean, c’mon! For this hopeless admirer of exotic private stock fare, African Blackwood and Pernambuco necks, Rembrandt tops, Celtic Knots and religious adherent...

Don't let Paul watch this video on a good sounding cardboard guitar.

Paul would demand to know which tree the paper came from, cos it completely lacked midrange. :p
