What is your blues pedal in PRS

depends on the guitar and pickup I use. I love the Archer IKON on neck pups ...MXR Timmy is great overall OD ...also my Boss Blues Driver Waza and my Boss OD 3 . It depends on my mood.

NGD: My Silver Sky SE Stone Blue arrived.. much better than I expected!

Came perfect right out the box. Action is a tad higher than I like but even so, plays incredible. I'm not even going to mess with it for awhile....The fret work is the best I have seen and felt in mid priced and even higher priced guitars, EVER. every not rings clear and no fretting out anywhere...

Another episode of amp guy vs. modeler guy!

Way back in the late 70s and 80s, I had very limited choice. I went from a Yamaha solid state to 100W Marshall. Currently I am in love with my PRS HDRX 20 watter, but I also have plug ins , Fender Tonemaster and a Katana. They all have a purpose. The more choices the better.

    Jeff Beck R.I.P. 1944-2023

This is horrible news! Sad day for guitarists and music lovers all over the world!

Played it for a hot min , HDRX20

It took me a couple weeks of tweaking mine to find the sweet spot. It's definitely bass heavy, so you really have to dial back both the bass control and bass channel control , for humbuckers at least. I haven't tried it much with single coils yet, but other demos tells me it sounds pretty...

I Am A Patient Man, But...

I'm not either, but I know I paid the wages for one of Sweetwater's janitors in the last 1 1/2 years!

If you could change one thing about a PRS you own, what would it be?

no way I would either. I just let my hand wear it down naturally ...mine is a '92 custom and is slick as silk

Why do people have more than one?

    I don't have a wife , makes it much easier ;)

I love solid black... Nice! enjoy

Played it for a hot min , HDRX20

That's exactly how I feel. I knew almost immediately this was going to be a good one to keep. The more I have had a chance to dial it in to my guitars, the better it gets. It just sings ! I play lower gain stuff and it's just perfect.

HDRX-20 Could use some BIAS advice and thoughts on this.

BTW, you do mean mV don't you? that is how it is measured in mV, not mA..... I just raised mine to around 28 mV average and it sounds much better. EDIT: Found the sweet spot at 29.5 ....Wow, what a difference from how it was set at factory.

HDRX-20 Could use some BIAS advice and thoughts on this.

I just checked my bias on the HDRX 20 and from factory it was biased with an average of just under 26. Do they always ship them with colder bias? anyway, time to experiment :) love the amp even at 26 bias

What are you listening to right now?

Nothing like 70's ZZ Top. Billy's tone is the best during this decade.

It took me 30 years, but I finally found the perfect amp for my '92 PRS Custom 24

Thanks, the demos I have heard online don't do the V-type justice. I love them!

    Underrated guitar players

underrated from other guitar players or mass appeal? if it is mass appeal I would say my all time favorite player , Michael Schenker. Otherwise, every guitar player worth their salt knows who he is and would have him somewhere on their all time greatest list.

If you could change one thing about a PRS you own, what would it be?

most likely the pickups. I like , not love , my '92 era pickups but I know PRS makes much better ones now. I just want to keep everything original on this one. and then maybe just a little beefier neck profile.

Nice, glad you found the amp on your neighbor's porch! I had mine delivered with required sig. sometimes I have them dropped at FED EX so I can pick up later. Lots of porch thieves this time of year. what speakers are you playing this through?
