Cool thanks. ya ive seen that..So basically in decimals it would be... 0.875 at the first fret 0.953 at the 12th damn thats bigger than i thought it was I used to think it was too chunky for me, the pattern neck but now i dig it lol .

I have a SSH and was wondering what the neck specs are on the 1st and 12th frets, i dont have nay calipers or id try and do it..thanks

i play music fulltime, for all gigs other than jazz i take my SSH. Just recently started playing in a country band, ive left my tele at home! lol. this thing with the middle pickup and the coil tap i have a alot of great tones for country.

trampas green SSH...been my main guitar so far since i got it a year ago. Wouldn't mind a Hemp green Super Eagle though..lol

Yupp SSH. turned into my main guitar for everything but jazz., hell you can get a great jazz sound out of this guitar is you wanted.

Ya im surprised they dont offer it again. im sure they get enough inquires about it to make money. Actually i think when i first looked into it they said they were under staffed or something like that and didn't have the man power to do them?. not sure though.

ya it is, i wouldn't have the balls to do it...There was this one guy who used to work for the PTC and now runs his own shop..cant remember how i found him..but anyway i asked him if he could do the neck recarve, he didn't want to do it. said he doesn't want to take a chance cause wasn't sure...

I asked them about this a couple times too...actually just last week. Ya they said, no plans on the recarve right now, but "maybe" after the first of the year and even then not looking likely..I wonder how many inquires do you think they get about recarve??

ya exactly, funny i didn't know about the SSH a year or so. I was watching a video on how to add a middle pickup to and switches to CE24 when i stumbled on the SSH. Bought one and its been my main guitar..i play in a band that covers Steve Kimock, some dead, originals etc...this guitar works...

Congrats man, i love my SSH. Definitely can go into Jerry territory with this guitar. or Santana or jazz or country chickin pickin..whatever.

ya man, congrats. post some pics... I love my SSH, damn thing turned into my main guitar for everything that isn't jazz (it even does jazz pretty good too!) haven't even picked up my strat. :cool:

Thanks for the pic Doc. looks great. thats where i was looking on reverb. Guilford Pickup rings has them or can make them..just cant decide if i should go with Cocobolo or Rosewood on my Trampas green

Looking at changing out the pickup rings to some wood ones...cocobolo, or rosewood on this guitar. Anyone have any pics? just trying to get an idea.

right i understand, ya probably pretty hard to tell with a set neck PRS.

ya i guess thats what i mean. or what i have heard. I also think a maple neck vs. a rosewood or ebony fret board is brighter

Hi, Can anyone tell a difference ? ive heard that larger necks have better sustain, etc?...not sure how true this is. thx
