As a rule the closed back have more thump and the open back have more air and more bass. Pairing speakers with cabinets then becomes an art.

I would either go SC245 or 594. Can't go wrong either way.
Bonus points for P245, the piezo gets you acoustic tones. That's my main gig guitar.
