    Private Stock Friday

OMG! This is insanely beautiful! This is the kind of finish I love. Look at those knobs and tuning machines, headstock, fretboard wow! Sadly I have to pay hospital and medical fees next week :( otherwise I would offer a home to this beauty.

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

Thanks for that. I reckon now it'll be a matter of choosing between the JC22 and the JC40, of course the JC22 is intended for home use but not sure how the smaller speakers will handle the sound. I have a Cube Micro GX that on JC Clean setting sounds very boxy, funny enough, the best setting...

The PRS in my collection getting played most right now is_______???

My only one PRS Starla SE is the one in my collection that I play the most. There are a couple of others that may come home sooner than later after I sell a couple of guitars I don't play that much.

    My collection is complete

Amazing collection! I hope you may enjoy everyone of them although we always have a favourite or two. My collection is still a work in progress. I reckon I made poor choices at the beginning as I didn't know about guitars, amps and pedals but it's getting better. No I have inspiration in what...

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

I'm curious nobody had mentioned Roland JC or Boss Nextone. Any particular reason?

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

I go to a shop where they treat me like a guitar celebrity although I’m far from being that lol and they let me tried a Twin Reverb Tone Master, a black face and a silver face. Honestly I couldn’t hear a difference for clean tones (I didn’t turn the knobs that much actually). I guess the Deluxe...

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

I don't want to spend more than USD 750. It'll be for home use only. The more cost effective amp probably will help me to get a nice guitar ;)

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

That's one I like but not sure how the lack of mid tones control could limit the tone. Obviously its big brother Twin Reverb is on the top of my wish list but at the moment is far beyond my budget.

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

Tube amps are great but the ones I like are very expensive, of course I could find cheap amps second hand or some unbranded that are as cheap as a solid state, but I don't want the problem of repairs or wasting money. In these days there are a few good options out there without tubes. But... who...

    Looking for a non-modelling amp

Currently I own a Fender Mustang GTX50 that from time to time freezes and in other it looks it loads the software wrongly and sounds odd, however when it works properly, it sounds great. And yes, it has the latest firmware. I want something simpler, so I'd like a few opinions on non-modelling...

Why PRS is gaining share in the guitar market

Indeed, PRS is gaining share in the guitar market, a big share I would say as they are not that easy to find in Australia in these days. I guess that sooner than later a big shipment should arrive Downunder.

    Tone knob Starla

I noticed the tone knob of my Starla has a bit of play. It is not loosen, it feels like driving an old car whose steering wheel goes between 11 and 1 and the car still drives straight. Is that normal or should I send the guitar to be fixed under warranty? Tone can still be adjusted but it is...

    Locking tuners for Tremonti SE

I use Graph Tech Ratio in my Fenders but for my PRS I got the SE locking tuners, they were an easy install and works very nice. The big feature of the Graph Tech Ratio is that every tuner has a specific ratio to the string, so getting the guitar in tune is very easy and accurate. Most tuners...

Tell me more about PRS SE Soapbar II

I hav I have no doubts about it but in my case, I have more guitars than tunes I know. I’m obliged to learn playing more and then I’ll reward myself ;)

Tell me more about PRS SE Soapbar II

Love P90s sound but I haven’t seen or tried a PRS yet, those models are rare in Australia, there is one on Reverb in Perth, let’s see…

    Introduce yourself!

G’day! Joining from Brisbane in Australia. After owning more guitars than riffs, yesterday I went to my favourite shop to buy a Fender Mustang that at the end didn’t feel right. Then I saw a Starla SE and and gave it a try as I tested one elsewhere. This one was covered in dust and rust on the...
