Santana neck is nice. Quite fat. Comfy. Took a while to adjust to the bound edges which aren't rolled as much as the unbound. I really liked the Santana neck. Bit chunkier than the pattern regular but not a bat.

The Santana has a more vintage vibe to it. I went Santana because of that - and I like the tone from the 24.5 scale. Unfortunately it had a massive dead spot on any B above the 12th fret, especially on the G string. The PRS UK distributor reckoned that was pretty common on the Santana. I find...

Really enjoying this guitar now. I’m not convinced the 85/15 set will stay in there - I’d like something warmer and a little more PAF like, but they are still fun. The guitar really pops in the sun - unusual grain for a 10 top but I love it.

I’ve not found I prefer the action different on wide fat or thin or regular. Back in the 80s and 90s I liked it as low as I could get it without buzzing. These days I prefer it around 1.5mm, or a touch higher. I find it aids bending if slightly higher, if it’s too low the next string up gets...

The nut was a little tight, so the strings were binding there. I dropped to 9.5 guage strings (GHS Boomers). This helped a lot. I also have a pack of 9.5 PRS strings to try next change. Three of the 6 bridge screws were slightly too low (E,A,D) vs the other three, with the trem also sitting...

Thanks. I've already run a string through each slot and given it a good long wiggle of the trem. I'll repeat it tomorrow and see what happens. Last few PRS I've owned were good out the box.

Yep. Parallel. I've lubed the nut slots. I've dropped a string gauge. Wiggle the trem, everything goes sharp. Bend each string and they come back to pitch. Press behind the nut and the string goes sharp. Seems the strings are binding in the nut.

My one frustration with it is if I touch the trem it goes out of tune. Pretty sure the nuts not cut quite right. I've ordered some 9.5 guage strings to see if the slots are slightly small. It's disappointing as previous PRS and Suhrs have been totally fine with a little light vibrato from the...
