Do we anticipate a V2 of MT-15 any time soon?

I agree, but I'm always apt to ask around in case I missed some sort of "insider" announcement since I'm not always as up on PRS. I watched that Know Your Gear As Well. He seemed pretty proud of himself. I don't really follow him either but I think it's a cool-sounding amp, usable at home...

Do we anticipate a V2 of MT-15 any time soon?

Yeah, I saw they are using 5881 JJ tubes, or something like that? It seems like messing with a good selling head, unless they could easily enhance the features, wouldn't make sense.

Do we anticipate a V2 of MT-15 any time soon?

Hi all, I've been looking to pick up one of these for a small box, hi gain small head. I was wondering if we anticipate an updated version any time soon? I know the MT-100 in on the horizon for folks who need big iron, so I wasn't sure if an updated MT-15 would be something that could happen...

The Official "McCarty 594" Love Thread!!

Excited to add a Silver Sky this week. I got a price a new 2019 that I couldn't pass on. I wasn't planning on buying one until later this year, just to space out guitar acquisitions to have things to look forward too but I'm not sure I would get the chance to again at an almost used price.

    The "Official Silver Sky" Thread

Heard back from PRS today about the guitar and they seem to think it would be. "Hi Matt, Thanks for contacting PRS Guitars. We switched over to the new nitro finish on the Silver Sky in the fall of 2019. This one should have the new finish. Thanks, Sean"

    The "Official Silver Sky" Thread

Hey all, I'm trying to find the post where Shawn, or someone, listed out when these changed over from the previous finish to nitro. I was looking at one locally and the production date is October 31, 2019 and I'm unsure. Thanks!

The Unofficial 2020 McCarty 594 Love Thread!!

Man, that is lovely! I'm not a fan of the color red except on guitars. It just works on this one!

Why PRS is gaining share in the guitar market

I came back to electrics guitars in the past few years. I had a decent Japanese SG. It was the last electrics I didn't sell off. I never really played PRS too often. I don't like playing electric guitar in shops all that much and the last time I was playing electric, there weren't many...

    SE Hollowbody Piezo!

I recently grabbed a SE Hollowbody ii brand new for around 875. I was pretty happy with it at that price and certainly would have liked a piezo for a bit more, but at 1500 I think I might begin to look elsewhere. I do like that color a lot though!

Say you are banished to a desert island and...

Depending on the amp, and assuming it has enough gain to cover the field, I would take a strobe tuner pedal, reverb, delay, boost, and a nice boost/overdrive pedal. Under the circumstances, I imagine a flexible delay like the Strymon Timeline and the Strymon reverb would be good.

    Reducing Blue Finish Fade

Thanks for your insights. I think I might have seen your aquamarine guitar in some older blue thread I was reading. That is an amazing color!

    Tell me everything about DGT!

The neck is narrower and thinner than the patterned vintage. I don't have mine in my hands, but I find the neck shape to be the most comfortable of all the guitars I've played. It's not too thick, not to thin, and has a nice contour. The pattern vintage has the asymmetrical carve which is its...

    Reducing Blue Finish Fade

I figured there was some inside jokes that I had to roll with on this one, but I do appreciate the insight! I will save that dancing banana gif though, a funny one to send to people at least.

    Reducing Blue Finish Fade

I follow option 1 with all my guitars. I came back to electrics from years of high-end acoustic guitars that can be very temperamental and keeping them in the case solves about 80% of the concerns. I'm trying to consider advice beyond that when the guitar is out of the case. Thanks for the reply!

    Reducing Blue Finish Fade

Hi, I've read a number of older posts about blue finishes, particularly northern lights, being prone to fading. It seems like the general advice is to 1) always keep the guitar in the case when not being played, 2) avoid direct sunlight entirely, and 3) minimize indirect sunlight as much as...
