    PRS CE24 1991: 5-way rotary switch

Ok, I will try to get some for a reasonable price and after that I’ll be looking for some wiring diagrams.

    PRS CE24 1991: 5-way rotary switch

I suppose this is not the "original" switch from the early 90's? Do you have the exact photo or type of the switch which is correct according to the manufacture date - 1991?

    PRS CE24 1991: 5-way rotary switch

Could you help me find the original 5-way switch somewhere on the internet? These are my pickups - I assume they are original but someone has added the nickel plates.

    PRS CE24 1991: 5-way rotary switch

When I bought the guitar I also wrote an e-mail to the PRS customer service. I was told that a 3-position switch can be either original from the factory or later modification. Same as the pickups nickel covers. I was quite surprised that they don't have more detailed info about the guitar.

They are original VB and HFS so I suppose it should be fine?

    PRS CE24 1991: 5-way rotary switch

Hi guys, I have bought this beautiful sunburst PRS CE24 from 1991 two years ago and I really love it! There is only one detail which bothers me and that is the (probably) non-original 3 way Gibson style switch. I decided I'd like to have it in it's original configuration with the 5-way...

PRS CE-24 Alder Maple Top 1991 Early Production

Hi guys, after a little pause I am back with another question. As mentioned before here in the thread the trem should be decked. I would like to use the tremolo occasionally but I hate when I rest or push a little my right hand on the bridge the guitar gets out of tune. Woudl it by OK just...

PRS CE-24 Alder Maple Top 1991 Early Production

I just got response from PRS Customer support. I have confirmation, that the guitar was custom made for someone (probably Ben Rivera) and the nickel covers were part of that custom order. Unfortunately the toggle switch remains mistery - I didn't get sufficient info about that. Just statement...

PRS CE-24 Alder Maple Top 1991 Early Production

Beautiful guitar! Thank you for reply - it really seems that the pickups are original! :) I am glad. Do you think I should remove the nickel covers? I did check the covered/uncovered sound of humbuckers but there is just slight difference. My motivation would probably be to return the guitar to...

PRS CE-24 Alder Maple Top 1991 Early Production

Thank you for good news! The label HFS was good sign that the pickups are original but I saw PRS logo engraved on most pickups I have found online so how could you say that the pickups are original for 100%? Are there some typical indicators that the pickups are PRS? Like screws, shape, cable...

PRS CE-24 Alder Maple Top 1991 Early Production

Good news! Guitar arrived earlier so I could take few more photos of pickups that are still not identified. There are also some manufacturer notes under the pickups etc. Any knowledge, explanation or tips are welcome! I would like to know what type of pickups are installed and if they are...
