Here’s my 2008 McCarty 2, along side my 2010 HB2. Both outstanding guitars. I don’t use the MVC switch on the McCarty, so it’s effectively a McCarty with an extra switch haha

My HB2 is getting just a tiny bit more play over my McCarty 2. Both my PRS' are getting heaps more play over all my Gibson's and Fenders though.

I don't often use the Piezo on my HB2, but when I do it's blended, never use it on it's own, I have no need to. I personally wouldn't buy a 594, because I hate where the switch selector is on the double cuts, I think they look horrible. I use my LP if I need that volume/tone configuration.

Hi all, I recently picked up a 2010 HB2 Piezo, and was told it had Phase 3 locking tuners. However, the tuners are covered on the gears, so I'm thinking they're actually Phase 2. Did PRS make a Phase 3 that are covered? The reason I ask is I bought so faux bone tuners because I didn't like...

Added to the collection over the wknd, this beautiful HBII Piezo. Wanted one for a while but prices here in Australia are ridiculous, this one popped up at a good price and was too hard to say no to. The neck is beautiful, nice and thick and the pickups are really crisp and cut through...

Looks identical to mine. Pretty cool to see one being played in front of that sort of crowd.

It's a toggle that runs on batteries that changes the tone from humbuckers to 60's Strat, that's the intention, you roll off the tone knob when it's switched on to work it, so it replaces the push/pull coil split. Honestly I'd have preferred the coil split option, but couldn't pass this up...

You're right mate, I put the amber speed knobs on, perfect fit, will have to get some updated pics. That's pretty much the vibe I got when researching it, probably seems a little bit unnecessary in this model, and for me, I have a Strat, so if I'm that sort of tone that's what I'll pick up...

I've recently picked up a 2008 McCarty 2, with the MVC. I don't hear or read much about these guitars, I gather they weren't too popular when released, but mine is outstanding, the neck is amazing.

Have since put gold speed knobs on the PRS, and have some amber ones coming, not sure which way I'll go.
