    Thoughts after a few days

I went with the Behringer TO800. It's cheap and an exact copy of the original Ibanez pedal. I may get a better one later if I like it. My reverb is currently a Behringer too but I expect to replace it with a Boss RV-6 because the newer Boss has effects (shimmer, reverb+delay) that the Behringer...

    Thoughts after a few days

Bearing in mind that I am not a very accomplished player - I have referred to myself as "pretending to play" on occasion though that perhaps is a bit too far the other way. Mostly cowboy chords, power chords and fairly simple songs (for some funny reason I like Foo Fighters & Green Day a fair...

    NGD - SE Standard 24

I'm enjoying it greatly. I hope to spend some time over the weekend dialing in my VHT Special 6 Ultra and it. Should be a sweet combination.

    NGD - SE Standard 24

The keyboard is a Sun Type 5 that I had gotten for my Sun Blade 2500 Silver but it was DOA. I have replaced it with a Type 7 USB keyboard instead.

    NGD - SE Standard 24

    Hah! Probably!

    NGD - SE Standard 24

NGD - Oh that red is pretty… Sounds good too :D Even with my fumble fingers. Beautifully set up, new set of 9’s (factory spec) on it and it growls. Family portrait time… ;) I don't expect to buy anything else anytime soon for the simple reason that I need to learn to play better first...

What a difference a quick setup makes...

I have done so in the past on my Epiphone Casino Coupe. I figured that since it was in a nice shop before sending it would be good to have them set it up.

What a difference a quick setup makes...

When I was considering which guitar to order, I emailed Dave's Guitars and asked how much new strings and a setup would add to the cost of the guitar because I knew it would be needed. I was told that they do that automatically for all the instruments they sell. That was a "ok buy from them"...

    Placed my order!

Now the waiting (argh!!!) begins. I found a nice SE Standard 24 in Vintage Cherry online at Dave's Guitars. Thank you, folks, for all your help and thoughts. I look forward to continuing to be here almost as much as I look forward to playing this new to me guitar :D

    Which SE for me?

Bwa-ha-ha! I know that feeling already! That SE Zack Myers is tempting me very much.

    Which SE for me?

At this point, my plan is to buy a SE Standard 24 on Friday. If that goes as well as I expect, then I see either a SE 245 or SE Zack Myers in my future.

    Which SE for me?

Thank you, folks, and especially Aahzz for the trem comments, for the thoughts. My inclination after pondering these answers is to probably towards either the SE Standard 24 or a SE 245 if I find a good deal. The Zack Myer is a beautiful looker but they all seem to be a bit too high for my...

    Which SE for me?

Good Morning, I am an older guy who has only been playing for a couple of years. I started with a Squire Telecaster & then an Epiphone SG but both of those went by the wayside. I'd have to say I'm still a fairly low level beginner. I currently have and play an Epiphone Casino Coupe with twin...
