Does your MT15's loop suck too?

Pedals I've tried our are a DigiTech Digiverb, a Koko space reverb, a Boss Tera Echo, Boss GE-7, a DigiTech Hyper Phase and a cheap Chinese volume pedal. All with the same results. I've run the pedals by themselves off an independent boss power supply, as well as two or three on a daisy chain...

Does your MT15's loop suck too?

A single cable end into the send creates a massively loud hum, single into the return is fine. Jumping the loop is also fine. Any modulation, time based or volume pedal I put through the loop and the amp gets noisy, loses output and totally flattens out sound wise.

Does your MT15's loop suck too?

From day one, the loop has been terrible. Whenever I put a pedal in the loop, the amp's output is diminished, and noise and hum gets introduced. I've changed the effects loop tube, with no change. I also get a lot of RFI as soon as I put a pedal into the loop. None of this happens when I plug...

So the MT-15 still had problems

Black plaid is right, replace each tube one by one with a known working tube. V1 is the tube closest to the input jack.

    MT15 w/ WGS G12C & G12T-75

These were recorded seconds apart with my phone leaning against the front of each speaker baffle. Same settings, same guitar. Seconds apart, two different cabinets. I should have done some repetitive chords or at least something less random and erratic. Maybe I'll redo them when I feel...

    MT15 w/ WGS G12C & G12T-75

With the speaker talk surrounding this amp lately I made two quick videos of the speakers I'm currently using with my MT15. Each speaker is in its own separate 112 cab. Tones are high gain at TV/bedroom levels.

    MT15 Cabinet; 1x12? Speaker choice?

V30 was never called a high wattage Greenback. V30 is a modernized high wattage Alnico Blue. Believe it or not, back in the day, Celestion marketed the G12T-75 as a "high power Greenback" Which again...it is not.

Is there a fix yet for the MT15 noise/hum?

Oh sorry I was listening to future barbarians video. I don't hear anyting in your video that would cause any concern. Am I missing something or just not hearing it maybe?

Is there a fix yet for the MT15 noise/hum?

No, mine only had a hum when taken off standby. It was louder than a normal amp operation hum. It has since diminished. I noticed your noise was only present on the lead channel and went away when you switched to the clean channel?

    MT15 Cabinet; 1x12? Speaker choice?

I should add that as you can tell, I'm using these two speakers in order to create a wider and larger layered tone. A modern voiced speaker and a vintage voiced speaker used together. If left with only wanting to use one, or only having one... I can't say that I'd use either one alone. Look for...

    MT15 Cabinet; 1x12? Speaker choice?

Greenback wattage will be fine but it will still have a lot of mids like a V30, and it will have less clarity when pushed and more crunch. I've actually found that the G12T75 sounds really good with the MT15. Its a speaker that sounds huge in a 112 cabinet. Even though it's mids are scooped...

Is there a fix yet for the MT15 noise/hum?

Once I replaced the stock JJ in the effects loop preamp spot with a Sovtek, the idling noise and radio station phenomenon went away.

Man that MT15 just &!$$#$ me off!! ..... (rant)

While the MT15's clean channel volume taper is near perfect.... Are they different values? Could the two be swapped? I have a pretty steady hand and get by fine with the gain channel volume jump. But I literally have to tap the top of the volume dial with my index finger to get bedroom/living...
