Theres a little Tele here and there in the PRS lineup - I think the 509/513 has a little of that flavor
but a full on Paul-backed project to better the simple but effective bridge plate/barrel saddle/lap steel derived pickup combination which is to me the key to the 'T' sound would make a good...
someone turned me on to V-picks and I haven't found a better pick since
they're not cheap but the material ive found is the best at 'staying in the hand' , when playing the friction heat seem to make it stick
I prefer the switchblade; pinch harmonics on command pretty much
Ya and there's still the unknown element of dealing with random people.
I'm still sort of half looking for a 35th anniversary Cu24 however the one I was eyeing at John Mann's is gone...
Not the marketplace, there are private buy/sell groups for PRS , if you're on the PRS guitar owners group there the link should pop up and you can ask to join. Seem to be people cross posting there selling some decent examples
I've been staying away from Reverb , eBay and GC used because of the tax
Theres always a good selection on facebook , also some PRS specific buy/sell groups too per country
The 594 is still too new and selling well I think to see the catastrophic drop in values the other manufacturers usually see.. I'm sure the math is also different due to the amount of guitars being made at PRS vs other manufacturers, etc ...
PRS has definitely improved in building consumer...
In the archives video they mention that Ted never had a Les Paul and they ended up giving him one , a vintage SG Les Paul.
Made me respect PRS a whole lot more
