Ah. Glad I went with the A40e then. I like the happy medium. Truly a quality instrument.

How much brighter was the maple model?

Buy with confidence, guys. Just got my A40E in and it's an absolute stunner in looks and in playability. Beautiful tone. Not too warm or bright, and nice and even. Superb. Got mine in from Sweetwater with a serial number of 00018!

I'll try to remember to post my review of the A40E I receive today. Woot!

Let us all know about the fit and finish of it. I know it's probably great, but I'd feel better knowing from a firsthand experience.

I've already listed my A10E for sale locally. Going to pull the trigger on the A40E. Maple would just be too bright for me.

I know Paul is always "quality first", but I'll admit it does take me back a little bit that they're built from that factory instead of World Musical Instruments. Has anyone here played any guitars from that Chinese factory? Just curious before I thin my heard to make room for a new one.

I have the now discontinued Angelus Custom, and I was kind of disappointed in the A30E. I was expecting a "custom 2.0" but it was quite a bit brighter sounding. My Custom is deep, bright, and booming! I will be ordering an A10E here shortly to go with the rest of the collection.

For all our acoustic shows, I just run the cable straight into the mixer. Never had any problems and sounds great!

Here's my board and my amp. Fender 2x12 with 100w and reverb. Wonderful sparkly clean tones and takes pedals great! Can go from super clean to super heavy. I must say I'm really disappointed in the Compressor pedal. Seems to sap my tone completely. No me gusta.
