Are there any PRS guitars that successfully delve into stratocaster territory?

Yeah, well it seems to be a reasonably well kept secret. I had been looking for guitars and had stumbled across that Sapphire Smokeburst and when I saw where it said it had 57/08s in it, I was sure they had a misprint. However I then called PRS and spoke with Matt King and he confirmed that...

    SE vs S2

I just recently went on a quest to buy my first PRS guitar... I read up about the SE the S2 because a full blown PRS was out of my price range. I liked the idea that the S2's body/neck was built here in the USA. I figured the electronics weren't as important and could be replaced if needed...

What's with all the writing behind the bridge pickup?

So, I wonder who this Scott S. is, presumably someone who does or did work at PRS and had something to do with various guitars that might have been special orders or something like that. I also am curious about what the 'FA' is after Scott S. A separate issue, but when I spoke with Matt...

What's with all the writing behind the bridge pickup?

That's what I was kind of thinking or wondering about. From what I can tell, the Satin models were indeed introduced in 2006, apparently after some Satin versions of the 20th anniversary models sold well.

Giving my used 2006 ( born 12/29/2005 ) Standard 24 a cleaning... I found the following, and wonder what it all means...

    Introduce yourself!

Here for the first time as a owner of a 2006 Standard 24 vintage cherry, satin finish... been and admirer of PRS guitars every since I first saw David Grissom playing one when he was playing with Joe Ely at the Blind Pig Ann Arbor Michigan, back in the late 80s.
