I had an Archon, but ended up trading it for a once in a life time deal. It never had the PRS cab though.
Now I have a Mesa MWDR and I need a cab for it. I have an EVH 2x12 but I want a 4x12 I think.
The description states "Speaker(s): Celestion Modified Vintage 30" are what is loaded in these cabinets- how are they modified? Are the broken in?
Thanks,
Ted
Go a 100 watt Archon with the curly maple front. Played through an Orange 2x12 with Celestion V30 and it just sounded massive. At home all I have is an Engl 1x12 Pro so I'm on the hunt for a 2x12.
I understand that the Stealth 2x12 with the matching front is no longer made but when perusing the...
Well, once again Gearfest strikes again! The deals are just too good, and with the outstanding customer service you just can't beat them. Last Year I walked away with a Violet PRS Custom 24 Floyd Rose as a graduation gift for when my daughter gets her bachelor's degree. This year, I walked away...
I purchased a new PRS Custom 24 Floyd Rose in June at Gearfest. The man himself autographed it for me, which was nice. He's a great dude.
But before I purchased the guitar, I asked the PRS rep in the PRS tent if it was possible to send the guitar to the factory to have the neck stripped and...
Well, even though I'm a bassist I come from the rock metal crowd since I started playing in 1988 (Oh to be young again!) and one of the most usable sounds was a simple single coil neck sound for clean tones. I have a seven string that has ta coil tap on a SD Nazgul/Sentient set. On my daughter's...
I am the proud, proud new owner of a PRS Custom 24 Floyd Rose- I love the craftsmanship. It is my first really, really nice guitar, and I am 49 years old (a retired bassist).5
That I said, one of the things that I am trying to get used to is what seems to be the unconventional wiring of the 5...
I live in Ohio so it's only a 2 1/2 hour drive for me, but people come from all over the world. It has so much cool stuff there, I would encourage anyone who can go to do so. I am a bassist, and first went to see my bass hero Billy Sheehan at a seminar but I also met him afterwards, got his...
Yeah, I'm not usually a sucker for violet but I really like this one. In real life, the lighter portions seem to actually have a blueish tint to it. It makes for a beautiful top.
The man himself was at Sweetwater when I purchased my guitar. He was gracious enough to sign it (kind of like having a signed Jackson Pollock!). I could just order a new plastic part and have it replace the signed one, but I would rather keep it on if possible. He signed it in a kind of gold...
There are a lot of unknown factor here. What kind of music do you like to play? Do you need 24 frets for solos?
In the past, of the guitars that you have already play (all of them, not just PRS) what did you find that you liked?
Basically with the SE's the bank for the buck is outstanding...
