What you call slightly Sir!
What year is it? Should be before '91, I'd say.
The Royal Blue nowadays is most likely to have a blue back too. How's yours?
Guess, I'll have to add a pic too, but before I better check, my whale blue is not as faded as your Royal Blue :)
Pics to come ...
I was gonna ask if there'll be more of these, since one was already on Wild West Guitars' Site. But I found the answer, on there too, it'll be six plus the prototype shown on the Wild West Guitars HP.
I'm afraid, this is far from anything, I'll be spending on a guitar! :(
And this is what it reads there: "If you're outside of the United States, please contact the PTC department at 410-643-9970 or at [email protected]"!
So, go back to the Point where you send a mail. And Good Luck!
Why are you writing all that @Dancing Frog ? Might make me want to try a 509, but I wanna be disappointed the 513 is gone :(
Do you by any chance have a comparison of the SC Mode of the 509 and a Brushstroke 24 (or Paul's Guitar, they both have the narrow Version of the 408 PU's)?
And you know...
Only I'd call them: bright, thick bright, thick!
I always found it easy dealing with the 513 switching. 509 is like 408 (or brushstroke 24) to me with a middle SC that I do not use alone too much.
And though the noise in SC mode might be more on the 513 than on the 509, I liked that SC tone...
Well, there was a limited Edition P 24 trem at the Experience 2013!
2014 (already) the P 24 trem became a production model.
I know, not the same kind of money but a very similar feeling.
Thanks for sharing. And interesting too. From my impression the 513's (swamp ash an rosewood) weren't too far from each other soundwise. I'll have to give it a head to head tryout.
You should visit the 513 Thread!
Aside from everything said so far, I love the slightly longer scale (25 1/4 instead of 25) and the light HB mode (the SC mode too, of course) over full humbucking.
@Dancing Frog would you mind sharing your Impression of the 509 (if it only had the light HB...
Well, wasn't it Mr. Holcomb posting a pic of the maple pieces he picked for his new PRS 8-string? Wonder if it's so many 8-strings in production at the time.
