There's a Dark Cherry Sunburst finish...is there a Cherry Sunburst finish?

Thank you. Cherry sunburst ("dark" or otherwise) is my favorite finish. I've seen the dark cherry sunburst but never encountered a PRS with the regular cherry sunburst. I wasn't sure if dark cherry sunburst was their version of the finish or if they had done both. They both look great in my...

There's a Dark Cherry Sunburst finish...is there a Cherry Sunburst finish?

As in a "Non-dark" Cherry Sunburst finish? Does PRS have any other finishes with a "dark" and non-dark variety?

If you could change one thing about a PRS you own, what would it be?

I'd prefer a flatter fretboard. If it's not a compound radius fretboard I'd like a 12" radius instead of the 10" radius.

Recommendations for learning Jazz...lessons, books, websites, videos?

Thanks Martin, I'll check out TrueFire. Believe it or not, I was watching a lesson by Jens Larsen before I read your comment. He's great.

Recommendations for learning Jazz...lessons, books, websites, videos?

Huggy, John, I'm going to try to find a Jazz club nearby. Maybe there's an open mic for Jazz cats I can sit in on. Who knows, I might even find a Jazz guitar teacher.

Recommendations for learning Jazz...lessons, books, websites, videos?

I want to learn Jazz guitar but I can't find a Jazz guitar teacher. Are there any recommended books, websites, videos, DVDs, lessons, etc. out there? All I have currently is the Real Book. I can read the sheet music but I want to go beyond simply playing the melodies and chords. Thanks.

Recommendations for Good Sounding Quiet Amps

How do the built-in effects on the Boss Katana compare with their pedals? Is it just as good, exactly like their pedals or isn't it? Would it be redundant to use a Boss Pedal with the Katana amp or can I get away with not using Boss pedals? I have an OS-2 and an ML-2.

Recommendations for Good Sounding Quiet Amps

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. Kemper sounds nice but pricey. The Yamaha THR 10 is tempting. Got any tips or advice for a newbie who has never used a modelling amp? What about any solid-state amps for $250?

Recommendations for Good Sounding Quiet Amps

I have a Blackstar HT-5, and I love it, but it sounds best only when played loudly. I'm looking for an non-tube amp that will sound good played quietly and whose tone can be shaped at lower volumes. In other words, an amp that doesn't need to be cranked loud to sound good. I've seen many, many...

    Flattening a fretboard? (re-radius)

I have an SE Custom 24. I love it but there are two things I don't like: the pick-ups, which I can change (duh), and the 10" fretboard radius. I don't need a crazy flat fretboard like 20", but I find it easier to play my Strats (10"-14" radius) and Gibson Explorer (12" radius). Is it possible to...

Bad action after changing strings, 1st and 2nd frets of A, D and G strings fretting out

The guitar does have a tremolo. I did not remove all six strings at once.

Bad action after changing strings, 1st and 2nd frets of A, D and G strings fretting out

Yes, I used the same strings. I always use 10 gauge strings with this guitar. I didn't adjust anything while restringing the guitar.

Bad action after changing strings, 1st and 2nd frets of A, D and G strings fretting out

I recently changed the strings on my SE Custom 24 and the action is so low that the 1st and 2nd frets of the A, D and G strings are fretting out. The first five frets on the low E and frets 3, 4 and 5 on the A string are buzzing as well. I did not have this issue before I changed strings...

What tips, tricks or advice do you have for learning music theory?

Ok, here's what I've been getting at. I recently found my old theory textbook and it reminded me of these tips. The spaces on a musical staff spell F-A-C-E The lines spell EGBDF, which can be remembered with the mnemonic Every Good Boy Does Fine The order of sharps, FCGDAEB, can be memorized...
