Isn’t this one of the longest running threads on here? It would be a real shame for it to lose its quality, consistency, or end all together. It’s definitely one I think we all look forward to.

Get a vela semi hollow and replace the bridge pup with a 57/08 or 59/09. It will sound warm, full, and sweet. It is, IMO, arguably the best guitar you can buy for the money.
yea, this is totally normal. even some older "thin finish" PRSs have this as well. I have a couple of '91 Artist 1s, and you can literally feel the wood grain on them because the finish is so thin. I actually like it quite a bit. You may notice over time that the finish will also sink into...
I had this happen on 1 PRS Custom 24 a while back, and I sold it. I loved the look and feel of the guitar, but it just sounded dead to me. I typically play stoptail guitars though, so I just wrote it off as that. One option you could try would be blocking the trem.
