I'm in search of a red Kestrel in my price range. Seems like that's my gig money target this year. (Last year was a Yamaha SBV). I love the way they look. The one I checked out at a local shop felt really good.
Oh, I'm not wholly immune to it.....just not as affected as some I know. I tend to want very specific instruments for very specific uses. I've sold instruments that I was really attached to because I wasn't using them. It may be that I'm a bass player.......we're the stable ones in the band...

My rule, for the most part, is one in one out. I've mostly held to it. The modifier to it is that gig money is equipment money. I am, however, not horribly susceptible to GAS.
