    5 hours in...

Had my first AZ jab on Wednesday (UK based like a couple of others above). Mild flu-like symptoms for 24 hours or so and a sore arm for a couple of days. All good now. Wife got Pfizer in late January and gets her second next Saturday. Similar symptoms as me. Again all good 48 hours later. Hope...

    Goodbye

Do you mind if I ask why?

    Holy grail setup?

Thanks guys that's really helpful. In reality if 1/64" is the biggest reduction I'm likely to see without buzzing, choking out or fret-work I probably won't bother. I love the completely clean bends I get from mine when I attempt (badly) the Gilmour-style stuff. Maybe I should buy back the Jem I...

    Holy grail setup?

So for you guys who measure, do you keep it to the PRS spec? (0.05"-.010" relief at the 9th fret, action at 2/32" top E at the 12th fret, 5/64" low E at the 12th fret etc?) That's what mine is set to but I'm tempted to lower it. Anyone else running much lower action? Did you just move the...

    Dragon II's & Rotary's

My 2000 Custom 22 has Dragon 2s and I love them. Like @CLHPRS mine has a 3-way and coil tap via the tone control knob. Never been tempted to change them and never understood the negativity toward them.

My first PRS. Am I too new to post a NGD?

Beautiful guitar. Congratulations! My Custom 22 is from 2000 and has the same tuners. The challenge with the unwound strings is being able to pull them tight enough to get the Christmas tree look. Even twenty years later I sometimes get it wrong. Did you get the case-candy with the guitar? The...

Where did the term ‘Core’ come from ?

Dick Van Dyke plays a PRS? Who would have thought it. :)

    New here

Welcome. As a fellow LP and PRS owner (and new member) I've been made very welcome. One word of advice - there is no "just" in any sentence regarding a Paul Reed Smith guitar. You're one of us. Better get used to it :).

    That magical 1/4 turn

In the video kindly posted by @Serious Poo the PRS guy explains it might need intonation and it will need retuning. He didn't take tension off the strings before making the adjustment (@alantig confirms this) or change the bridge height. So that is the way I intend to go, though I will need to...

    That magical 1/4 turn

@dmatthews Got it finally thanks - and I did make it clear I'm an idiot :). I'm new here - give me a bit of time to catch up...

    That magical 1/4 turn

Apologies for questions from a complete idiot, but I'd appreciate some advice from the knowledgeable folk on here. I've noticed a slight raising of the action on my Custom 22 over the last month or so as the heating at home has been used. I'm assuming that the turn is to tighten the TR? If...

Haven't been here in over 2 years...I miss my PRS guitars :-(

Hey @phillybri . Sorry to hear about the challenging times. Many here have been through this. It will get better. Consider this a virtual loan of mine until you are in a position to buy the one you want, and enjoy what you are playing in the meantime.

Cheapest, new guitar you've played that was comfortable and stayed in tune, without modding?

Gibson Les Paul Standard purchased in March this year. Prior to that, PRS Custom 22, purchased in January 2002. They're the last two guitars I bought. And they weren't cheap. But they are wonderful.

    Death in California

If the cause of death on my death certificate reads "died with PRS" then I'll take it. In other news, PRS announces that their guitars are no longer allowed south of the M4 due to reasons involving crop circles, cream teas and bad 1970s horror films. All offending articles must be handed in to...
