I think the name of these pickups might make people think they are only for one style of music regretfully. There has been discussions about this before and even Shawn I believe has said this before that the \m/ pickups are very versatile. I have covered one in my PS and uncovered in my Quattro...

So I'm thinking about trading my NOS ME 1 for a McCarty 594 with a rosewood neck. I haven't played a 594 but with all the rave about them I kind of feel compelled to jump in. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

I just saw a video with mark tremonti and in it he says something about working on a signature amp with PRS based off of the Archon

Try the PRS \m/ pickup. That's what I have in my PS running into my archon. Killer tone. Sound man told me at last show he just put my eq at noon the whole way across the board. He's not the first to tell me my tone is pretty good
