The 2016 245 had the coil splits with the 58/15 pickups. They are good, but still had to get a strat for the proper vibe. Still have the 245 though and it gets a whole lotta love.

Just my opinion of course, but I think this is the way the CU24 and CU22 should come as standard. Great tone possibilities. I hope they sell enough of them to convince them to make them the standard.

I see a lot of PRS in the hands of backing bands on late night shows etc...proving Paul’s point that they’re reliable tools for the working musician who depend on their instruments for a living. And if it helps, I’m a virtuoso in my own mind....:D

Might be a burr on the bridge. Maybe have a tech give it a buff. I had an American Standard Strat that was constantly breaking the high E at the tuning post. I replaced the stock tuners with fender locking tuners and it has resolved the issue.

The guitar tech did say it was an easy fix. His instructions were to fully depress the bridge and it should reseat itself.

I’m glad this was posted. My last string change on a CU24 left the trem sitting at a funny angle that I couldn’t seem to figure out so I took it to a tech. Turns out the knife edge on the trem unseated itself from the notches on the anchor screws. This was caused by me removing all the strings...

Mostly a Peavey classic 20 head at 1 watt with the classic channel cranked. Not bad at all, especially at it’s price point.
