by hum I don’t mean 60 cycle hum which is there in positions 1,3, and 5. I’m solely talking about buzz that goes away only when the strings are touched or any metal part of the amp or any piece of metal in the signal chain is touched. Do you have this as well ?

My SS does the same thing. I feel like the issue stems from the guitar not being shielded completely. And this is something all SS are like.I'm still curious as to what everyone else here has to say too, but my understanding was that it was relatively normal and comes from the pickups picking up...

What i mean is to try seeing if touching the amp or anything metal gets rid of the buzz just like touching the strings does.

Try placing the guitar somewhere away from your body and see if it still does it

Does it go away if you touch any of the pedals or the amp at all?

just to clarify how do I know it isn’t a grounding issue ? I’m using brand new mogami cables as well as a strymon Zumba as the power source so everything is pretty clean. The guitar is less than two weeks as old too

Ok so this is completely normal and nothing to be worried about ? The guitar is brand new and purchased from Sweetwater which I know does a “55 point” eval.

The noise is mainly noticeable with the guitar volume up high. This is in position 4 as well in the video which I know is supposed to somewhat cancel out 60 cycle hum.
