If they close, where will I go to try out guitars with ridiculous amounts of fret sprout?

I was in college when the McCarty's came out and remember practically drooling over the honeybursts that were all over the guitar magazines at the time. I've seen a few on Reverb and was wondering what people think of McCarty's from around 1996, worth looking into? -David

As requested, here she is. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the bridge pickup--I'm used to more standard humbuckers--but the more I play, the more I like it. I can get similar amounts of dirt but with a clarity that I haven't experienced before. But I love this guitar. -David

The Vela I just got came with a gig bag, which is nice but I'd like something a bit sturdier. Anyone have any cases they would recommend? Generic GC RoadRunner doesn't seem to do this guitar justice.

Is it just me or do PRS's have the most metal headstock available? I was looking at mine tonight and thinking "This looks way more evil--in a good way--than any BC Rich or Shecter."

Is that one of those Zakk Wylde guitars?
