I think the fly in the ointment is the obscure sized neck pick-up. I intend to use a lot of gain and saturation for a singing lead tone...and while playing I'm sure it won't be a big deal but otherwise as soon as you stop it's got that 60s cycle hum. I browsed some DeArmound style pick-ups...

Looking to draw on some experience of Vela players...my experience with this type of bridge or Tele bridge is limited. I've mostly had Strat trems and am familiar with the S2 Trem. I can't tell from any photos or the reviews I've seen if those saddle adjustment screws are just sitting on top...

I also wonder why no one manufacturers a bridge as you described. I did come across an Ibanez semi hollow with one that had half circles cut out and I thought about time someone thought of that!
