You could look into installing a Tremol-No. Pretty easy to engage/disengage so you would be able to use the trem for the needed songs, lock it for when you need to drop D and unlock it again after you bring it back to E.

If possible, I'd suggest ordering from an online dealer with a good return policy. Try it, if it's not for you send it back. (but you'll probably want to keep it, and order more PRS :D )

No experience with those so I can't say for sure. But the SE's have a pretty durable Poly finish, I'd be very surprised if it couldn't handle it fine
