I saw them performing Shakedown Street on Fallon´s show a few weeks back (cant find it on youtube)... anybody knows how Mayer get the main riff tone? what effect (s) is (are) that give the guitar that tone?
I aslo have a Santana and a ZM... two very different animals IMO. I enjoy the Santana a bit more, but the palyability of the ZM is also great, so I think you just have to setup the guitar again... however the santana is going to be easier for bending, but it should be absolutely no problem...
Same thing with my SE santana and now my SE Zach Myers. It randomly shorts, specially on the neck position. I even changed the switch on the santana and the problem remained... I guess I had bad luck and the replacement was also bad
Well this got weirdier.... I changed the pot and the issue remains.
Could be a bad tone pot? A bad treble bleed cap?
I'm running out of ideas and spare parts !!!
Yes Corey I remember reading something about it and thats why I changed the toggle... I´ll look if I have a spare pot of the correct value to replace it.
I redid the wiring. It's not the amp or cable for sure.
Is it possible that a bad pot does this? Is the only thing I haven't changed.
The cap is not cutted but I'll check the soldering is solid.

I dont really know how to explain this problem. The thing is that, randomly, my signal gets cut / or minimized... specially on the neck pu. I can be playing with the toggle selector on the neck position and the signal cuts... or I can be changing pu´s and the signal goes away or the...
It´s a shame... I just can´t stand the SE logos... They could use a more appealing font style... I even like the Zach Myers font... but that big SE in front looks bad on such a nice looking guitars.
I will use an "eagle" sticker I found on the web. If that can´t hyde my bad sanding job I maybe...
