Yeah you’re right. There’s something going on there.

It does not look like it does. The grooves would come out past where the saddles are set, and you can see in Pete’s lead into that it’s a flat plate.

Well guys, it turns out after much troubleshooting, I had a tube that would go microphonic in the preamp of my amplifier. It wasn't the pickup at all. Thanks for the help, but we'll give credit to a bad tube on this one!

I know, right? Haha. Even worse on this guitar because the maple neck is faded dark to light blue up the neck. I just went in and stood the case up and leaned it against a wall in the closet and put the guitar in. I lost wall art but maybe I will gain some sanity.
