Headscratcher: Gotoh Locking Tuners for SE HB2 Piezo

So for some mystical reason, the headstock on my SE HB2 Piezo is not a uniform thickness. This wouldn't be an issue except the slight difference is just enough to keep the two threaded parts from reaching each other. Gotoh bushings basically leave zero room for any manufacturing imprecision like...

Headscratcher: Gotoh Locking Tuners for SE HB2 Piezo

I'm hoping to avoid having to buy another set, but it looks like that's what I'll be doing. I really like the Gotohs, particularly the color (cosmo black) which I don't think PRS offers.

Headscratcher: Gotoh Locking Tuners for SE HB2 Piezo

Tried installing a set of Gotoh SG381 (ref: https://www.philadelphialuthiertools.com/tuning-machines/guitar-tuning-machines/gotoh-sg381-magnum-lock-trad-locking-tuning-machine-pre-configured-sets/ ) and five of the six are easy drop-ins and they work fine, but the tuning machine for the Low E...

SE Hollowbody II Piezo case suggestions

I'm looking for an affordable *rectangular* case option for the SE HB2 Piezo. Mine shipped with a shaped case, but there's very little room for anything in it besides a strap and extra strings. There are plenty of high-quality (and expensive) custom cases, but finding a basic, cheap case is...

SE Hollowbody 2, which hard case?

The SE Hollowbody II ships with a shaped hard case which is sufficient for local gigging (if you're your own roadie) but not for plane/bus travel. There are two problems with the case: 1. You can't fit anything into a shaped case other than the guitar (no pedals, spare cables, etc.), and 2...

New Hollowbody ii SE Piezo...piezo p/u so loud ?

FWIW, my piezo was much hotter than the mags as well; it was distorting even on a low-volume solid state amp. Dialing back the trim pot (almost 3/4 of a turn!) on the circuit board solved the problem.

SE HB II Piezo - Adjusting piezo volume?

It worked! I had to dial it back more than a quarter turn but now I've got something that approximates unity. Thanks again!

    Found the pic! Thanks! :)

    PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! My piezo was dialed in WAY hotter than the magnetics and it was distorting coming out of a super clean SS amp. Problem solved!

SE HB II Piezo - Adjusting piezo volume?

Thanks, I'll give that a shot! Need to find a pic so I know what to look for on the board...

SE HB II Piezo - Adjusting piezo volume?

Proud new owner of an SE HB II Piezo (Peacock Blue) here and I'm trying to find info on how to adjust the piezo volume for this model. The PRS site says to look for "white screws, accessible through the battery compartment" but I'm not seeing any screws in there. I even tried partially removing...

    NGD - P22 Trem - and Hello

Gorgeous instrument, congrats! I'm looking at P22 Trems myself at the moment (window shopping while I save my pennies). I have a question about the 3-way toggle that you might be able to answer: In the piezo-only position, is the Baggs system pushing a signal to BOTH jacks on the guitar or the...

Ever sit down to practice and EVERYTHING is aweful!?

"I booted up my brain this morning and the Music Performance program wouldn't open. What should I do?" "Have you tried turning your brain off and back on again?" "No, I'll give that a try. Thanks." Zzzzzz.....

Should vocalists provide their own PA?

A while back I was playing guitar in a band where the bassist owned the PA. He made it clear from the get-go that he expected an extra cut for the PA equipment (the PA was our sixth "band member" when it came time to split the gig money). I had no trouble agreeing to this for a couple of...
