    Trem Question

I really love the tone of the guitar right now. I wonder if the saddles would make a big difference in tone?

    Trem Question

I ended up lowering it quite a bit from spec. I prefer the tone of a floating trem but I don't really use the trem so I don't mind losing some pull up travel:

    Trem Question

Probably a dumb question but how do I know these came from a real US PRS trem and not an SE or something? Is there a way to tell?

    Trem Question

To be honest, the only reason I haven't replaced them yet is because I'm worried how those shiny new saddles will look on the nicely patina'd bride! I might just bite the bullet on some saddles, pickup rings (for the recessed screws) and some lampshade knobs.

    Trem Question

The trem has already been leveled and the saddles adjusted. The outer saddles are nearly bottomed out. Also, the trem is level with the plane of the top of the guitar, correct? Obviously the carved top near the back of the trem means it isn't level with the body, but rather level with an...

    Trem Question

OK I set it up according to the video from Mann using 2.5mm between the bridge plate and screw head. I think it's too high for the neck angle (or lack of) on this guitar. I had to raise it significantly from where it was when I got it. I'll leave it like this for a bit but I might lower it to...

    Trem Question

Thanks for that. I guess it's still yricky Thanks. I will watch when I'm off mobile. The outside screws should set the height, right? I don't want to adjust the bridge height, so I really should leave the outer two alone and raise the middle ones, correct?

    Trem Question

Are there specific measurements for height? Or just adjust the outer screws in or inner screws out??

[POLL] Keep the 3 way toggle or revert back to 5 way rotary?

I recently acquired my first PRS guitar - a 1993 CE24. It has been converted from a 5 way rotary to a traditional 3 way LP style switch. Should I revert it back to 5 way or keep the toggle switch? I know I could add coil split pots, but I'm not really interested in split sounds as much as I am...

    Trem Question

The only thing I have hesitation about is maybe the previous owner didn't really use the trem. If I start using it now maybe it will wear out the knife edge since they aren't even?

    Trem Question

I recently picked up a 1993 CE24. This is my first PRS guitar. I've been reading about the trem and I want to run this by the experts here to see if everything looks OK. The trem stays in tune perfectly but the screws are not even. I only have experience with two point trem systems. Does this...

NGD UPDATE - What do you think about this CE24 (possible first PRS)?

Well, I got it! Got the frets polished up. A couple flat spots in the cowboy chord area but otherwise great shape.

    This is fake, right?

I'm not sure what this is. I'm no PRS expert, but I've been examining fake Les Pauls for years. Some things about this lead me to believe this is a homemade guitar and not a Chinese counterfeit guitar: Wings on the headstock (you NEVER see this with Chinese copies) That top is obviously a flame...

NGD UPDATE - What do you think about this CE24 (possible first PRS)?

We are scheduled to meet on Thursday. We are about 2.5 hours apart so meeting in the middle. This is a CL deal so if I don't report back, I got murdered.
