I received the metric pots from Amazon today. They look cheap, not like Alpha or Bournes, probably a Chinese product. I'll probably go with a good pot and just enlarge the holes as previously suggested.

I've got a hand reamer for enlarging tuner holes. I should mention my background, I've been in this hobby since 1975 :) I found a metric spec. push-pull 500k audio taper pot on Amazon with a 19mm mounting hole. We'll see how how it works.
