Come on! What's not to believe here? Tone is such a subjective matter that you can't really say that one is better then the other :)
Though I must say that I LOVE my strat and my jazzmaster too for what they are. Yes, they do sound thin in comparison, but that's what they're supposed to sound...
Well, I guess if you want something different in terms of tone - go for CU24. If you really like your McCarty and want something similar with a trem - get a DGT. You can't really go wrong either way.

Thanks a lot. I do agree about the neck pickup. I especially dig now the middle position with the neck being full humbucker and bridge tapped to single coil. Clean tone heaven!

I switched 0.11s to 0.10s on my DGT immediately and I, tbh, did not notice any lack of tone or whatever. I use 0.9s on most of other guitars including my 408 SH.
