    Swapping pickups on a p22

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping someone from PTC would chime in. I have read about the phase issue but I've never seen anything offical from PRS.

    Swapping pickups on a p22

Hi everyone I need a little direction as I want to try another set of pickups on my p22. I've swapped pickups before on other guitars so I have all the tools I need but I've never swapped pickups on a 5 way blade like the one on my p22. The pickups I want install use the shielded pushback 2...

    PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo

That's unfortunate. Good luck with the next one. I was wondering if the LR baggs system were the same as the ones in the core.

The trem arm came with the guitar that way

New (to me) '97 CE22 needs some TLC

The parts are on order thanks again for the links. I'm thinking of replacing the switch this 5 way rotary switch isn't for me. I'd like to swap it with a regular 3 way toggle switch. I realize I'd lose the coil spit tones but I can't stand this cursed switch. To those who have replaced this...

I don't really care if they are not the orginal rings. I'd rather have something trivial like pickup rings look nice than try to preserve ones that are in poor condition for the sake of keeping the guitar truly all orginal.

That is very generous of you thank you. I'll let you know if I will need them. It looks like they are already included with the rings though.

Nope this one has dragons. At least I can confirm the neck pickup. I'm not able to pull the bridge pickup out yet. The bridge pickup sounds great I suspect that it's a dragon as well.

Perfect that's what I'm looking for I never would have guessed that the s2 parts are a direct fit on a 20 year old CE thank you very much. Now I have to decide on the stock black ones or the ivory rings and backplate.... Yeah the headstock is a disaster but the pictures make it look worse than...

New (to me) '97 CE22 needs some TLC

I just picked this up for a really great price. I'm really happy with this guitar considering what I paid for it. However I does need some TLC the pickup ring screws are stripped and rusted. Its also in dire need of a cleaning its filthy. It's also missing the back plate for the trem system...

Is this a QC issue or defect?

Lol on another note yesterday I ran into a great deal on a used ce24 in a local classified I couldn't pass up. I'll start a new thread

Waiting seems like the logical course of action but it seems everytime I wait for a better deal I miss out.

Truthfully I would love to keep it and get a McCarty but unless I manage to find one used I dont think that is going to happen.
