Spalting IS a result of fungi, often from a piece of wood laying on the ground. If someone is using a paint brush, then I suppose that would be called "Faux Spalting". You were correct to begin with.

Nice to see profound quilted maple becoming available again -- very pretty.

PRS is finally getting back into some truly spectacular wood -- great to see.

I am also in this FB group and it is VERY active, with used PRS guitars being posted pretty much daily. I've never bought or sold there however -- just watching.

NazgulUK: Yes -- the work that goes into them is truly amazing. I recently took delivery of my Private Stock, and absolutely every detail on its build is "perfect". The attention to detail is impeccable.
