I used to think that, now I won’t change them again. Tried that already, and changing pickups is an expensive game. Plus they look great with the squabbins!

Have you tried raising the bridge pickup closer to the strings? That’s what I did with my 85/15’s. You probably have but just a thought.

To be honest I never really had the pickups in long enough to try the different modes, others on here will probably have a better idea than me.

What amp do you play through? I think if I did change pickups now, I’d stick with PRS pickups. I’ve set the bridge pickup quite low, and it sounds pretty good so far. A2 magnet as well I believe in the bridge pickup, A5 in the neck.

Was your Marsden’s tone quite bright? As my guitar has a maple cap, neck and ebony fretboard, it has quite a bright tone to it. I feel it could do with being darker.

On the modcat decoder they’re listed as '250' pickups which they’re not, they are '85/15' pickups, a few other things are listed incorrectly as well, such as the neck wood being Sipo.

So it turns out they can’t find a fault with it, apart from a few loose components. It was sold to me as a pattern thin (I’ve mentioned this in another thread) however the spec sheet says pattern regular. the guitar tech where I bought it from says it is actually pattern thin and someone made...
