    NF3 Alert!

What would a ‘good’ price be? It’s a very high quality US-made instrument with a unique tone. I found mine buried in a store somewhere a few years back, new old stock, gladly paid €2k for it and felt that it was worth every penny. And on top of it being a truly wonderful musical instrument, it’s...

    My First PRS--Paul's Guitar Core

Congrats! In the current lineup of Core solidbodies I think Paul’s Guitar and the DGT stand out. Actually last Saturday I went out to try a few Paul’s Guitars at a local dealer but ended up being swept away by a 594 Hollowbody II.

    NF3 Alert!

I’ve decided to let my DC3 go, but never my NF3. Such a great guitar.

PRS QC taking the day off?

I’m a diehard PRS fan and of the opinion that their solidbodies are the best in the world (hollowbodies are a different matter), but I can’t say that their QC is airtight. Not at all. Personal experience: -a DC3 with bad tuners, a batch of those got out the door back in the day (confirmed by PRS...

What are the PRS 509 pickups like?

Some older threads are cool :) . About the 509, I’m not immune to GAS but the 509 is straight down the middle of my bolt-on, alder DC3 and set-neck, mahogany + maple DGT. Those two guitars rule at what they do. I also have an NF3, which is possibly my favourite solidbody ever. As good as the 509...

SE 'Paul's Guitar' - How good are they?

How good they are is hard to answer objectively, but I’d say it’s the standout SE model. All PRS guitars are built well and built to last so no worries there. Paul’s guitar is special because obviously it’s Paul’s personal preference and as such it’s not necessarily designed for a target buyer...

What are the PRS 509 pickups like?

I played one yesterday and find myself wanting it, but really can’t justify it since I already have a DC3 and a DGT.

Does anyone else prefer to keep their guitars stock?

Stock! Limiting myself to my core models, why would I change my DGT, NF3 or DC3? I bought them specifically because they are what they are. All three have a unique voice and the build is faultless. Hotrodding is fun as a hobby in itself but I prefer to choose carefully and then play.

What was the thinking behind the Starla design?

I had a core Starla and it’s the one that got away. Should’ve kept it. Great guitar.

    The Unofficial Official NF3 Thread

There’s magic in the recipe of a korina body, maple neck and narrowfield 57/08 pickups. Even unplugged my NF3 has a super-detailed, airy, chimey, angelic top end that no other guitar seems to have. The pickups capture this and bring it out through the amp. I also have a DC3 which is not korina...

    Hollowbody SE vs CORE

^—+1 to that. The best guitar is the one that makes you want to play it. About the hollowbodies: for me those are like a fine wine or whiskey. It takes a while for my senses to develop to the point where they can discern and appreciate all those delicate details and nuances. Six months back I...

    QUESTION ON PRS NF3 GUITAR

Those necks feel great. I’m extremely lucky to have found both a DC3 and an NF3, both NOS, with about 8 years in between the two finds. You just forget the guitar is even there, so effortless and comfortable.

    QUESTION ON PRS NF3 GUITAR

I stumbled upon a 10-yr old new old stock NF3 in a store a few months back. NF3’s sound like nothing else - literally. The top-end detail and overall clarity, I mean, wow. I hope you’ll love yours as much as I love mine.
