PRS told me that no matter what the logo is unavailable for my amp. Well they have it but its not for resale and there is no way I can get one.
That is just unacceptable. I'll be keeping my PRS guitars but the amp is for sale. Will never buy another PRS amp if you cant even get simple parts...
I bought a PRS 2 Channel Custom combo many years ago and the paint on the prs logo has completely worn away after constant gigging. Does anyone know a website or seller that has replacement logos? I tried emailing PRS customer support NUMEROUS times over the years asking about the logo and...
I know this is going to sound harsh... but to the guys that are anal about certain combinations of wood, glue, etc, etc... you guys are kind of a joke to the majority of people out there. There is a reason people say its in the fingers and pros sound the same pretty much on whatever you hand...
Id rather have maple neck over a mahogany. IME its a bit brighter, more bite/sizzle, bouncier, and snappier. I like it.
Why I think John and those guys don't recommend it is because look at what market they cater to. Guys paying big sums of money to chase holy grail vintage tones. As good...
Spent the last 2 hours playing around with the push pull single coil sounds. IMO its a bit of a mixed bag but I guess expected when dealing with splitting humbuckers. The magic is the middle position. Its got some spank and has a full sound with some chime. Think beast of burden tone but...
Id roughly say I played Fender 80% of the time with Gibson getting the rest of the playtime before I got my PRS. It might be why I gravitate more toward the PRS CE than the Custom models. I just don't see myself ever becoming interested in a PRS Custom guitar. Different strokes I suppose. To...
Now that I think about it I spent the whole time in humbucker mode. I'll try to spend time on the clean settings when I get a chance this week. My Tele is in rebuild mode so the only comparison I'll be able to make is with the Lace Golds in my Strat. I don't expect the PRS to quack. I do...
I have a big mirror at the end of my hallway. I occasionally rock out the CE24 and LP at the other end of the hallway and check out how sexy the wood is. Guitars are flat out sexy. To me more so than cars.
Thanks guys. She's definitely a keeper.
Light, balanced, tight, big ballsy tone. Cuts great with the band. Sounds great through my AC30 with Blues and my Mark V. I dare say this has a bigger more open sound than my LP with SD Whole Lotta Humbucker and my other guitarists LP loaded with the...
My PRS is my #1. My Goldtop LP is my #2. I still will bring a tele or strat or use the LP if i need THAT sound. If not PRS all night. I only have 5 electrics though. A PRS, LP, Strat, Tele, SG. I don't see the point in having more if I'm not going to gig them regularly. Guitars are made...
Thanks guys. Found a spare truss rod cover in the drawer that I think looks killer on this guitar. Strap locks on. Now only thing left to do is play the thing. yay to Friday nights.

EDIT - found a better matching cover.
Jam Time. Hope you all have a great weekend.
I used to do what you did but with amps. A whole lot of amps. As long as you are messing around with used equipment you should be fine as long as you negotiate your prices. Might make some money reselling if you dont like. At the very least break even.
