So I could not leave well enough alone...I decided early on I wanted locking tuners and had ordered these from PRS well before I got the HBII. I also happened to have some amber Lampshades in my stash...I think this makes a great guitar just a touch better.

Well when this was first announced I knew this was one I would want. Fast forward 3 months after a pre-order and Sweetwater just got their first ones in and this is the one I selected. I must say it is larger and much better balanced than I expected. Here are the pics:

I am wondering if the bridge is not fully seated into the studs. I have seen this when I have played with used guitars in the shops. Someone tried to "adjust" the bridge and it ends up setting way back on the studs so that very little contact is made. Then under tension and regular playing...

OK....all you purists ignore this post. I am curious if anyone has run any effects software through your effects loop on any of your amp? I have tried some different "pedals" on Amplitube and would like to put them in the loop on my Custom 20 to see how it sounds. This might not be possible...

I have often wondered if in the early days of PRS if the crew would build their own guitars from the scraps or rejects. Kind of like me coming into the office to use the copy machine on the weekend. Maybe an employee used some tools/materials to build their own.

In my case it is the Jiva that is made in Indonesia. It is a nice guitar but not on par with what I paid for it. I would put it on the same level as an entry SE but at twice the price =(. I have played a Prestige and it was a very nice guitar....hence the reason I felt comfortable buying the...

My 2 cents is to get the retailer to offer to perform a setup , including fitting the nut. I have used Core and Tusq nuts and they both work great on an SE. I prefer the Tusq nut for the SE line as it fits better. I have had a few issues with used SE in the past and I am happy to say the nut...

The price might not be outrageous....what does a new SE cost in Australia? There could be some serious taxes and import duties that drive the cost up?

I used a Tusq nut instead...the core left too much gap for my taste.

It is feeling lost...and in the dark....as it has not been out of the case since this one arrived!

So I have this guitar.... and I really want a satin wood pick guard similar to this to go along with it.... ...since this is a satin prototype I think that would be a nice fit. Any ideas where to find such a thing? Steve
