All 22-fret necks had that heel, even the ones made in the Virginia Avenue factory. Looks like a very nice original Custom 22 and I personally think the wide bit of flame adds character.

I can play equally badly on almost any neck, but I feel most comfortable on something Wide/Fat or a little bigger.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan as you can no longer find the old Ardbeg 17yo. You really should mix a little water in with it as it releases the oils in the whisky and intensifies the flavour. If you don't do this you're seriously missing out on a large part of an single malt experience.
