Heard back from the retail shop a few days ago that Gretsch would send out a new truss rod cover
Heard from retail shop moments ago and Gretsch says they do not have a spare truss rod cover and will have to exchange my guitar for another one
I just removed the speaker connections (taped over the ends with painter's tape (even though they were covered with a silicone wrap), plugged the direct out into my audio interface, dropped in the TwoNotes JC-120 speaker DynIR on the track and it is glorious -- both the JC's reverb and chorus...
From my research, the hiss is definitely inherent in the amps
I even plugged in to an APC power conditioner and voltage regulator and the hiss remained
I played in band in my 20's - played dozens of shows over a few years - not once did any woman show interest in me at a show
Moreover, throughout my dating life ( I am now 50), not one woman ever asked me to pick up the guitar to hear me play nor took any interest in my songwriting -- however...
